WHITE LINES PASSEDÂ beneath me in the dark—black roads and black skies, a phosphorescent shore above. In the distance, there sprawled a hundred rocky fortresses—stone markers erected by the Lord in mysterious memorial to the days before man. I traveled the space between giants.
This place had a name, but I would never know it. In my journey, it would be just another road, a place between places. But, in my memory it would be the place where I paused. The place where, outside my vehicle, I raised my arms in a futile embrace. The place where I cried in joy to the Creator for the unbearable blessing of life:
“My God and my King! You are too much…”
And there, beneath the Infinite, I remained in awe and silence.
